21 Days Closer To Christ

My first year of Young Womens, we received a 21 days closer to Christ book for christmas time and I have read it every year since. I cannot wait to pull it out and gain a stronger testimony every christmas time and I have learned so much. This year, I told my young women's president about how it has helped me and they made a new one so now I have two amazing books to read from. Here are some amazing lessons I have learned as I have read these leaders experiences and have used those experiences to gain a stronger relationship with Christ and a testimony of him. In the book it has a talk or an experience from that day and some questions and something you can do to be better. Here are some things that I found in the book that help you act today to become more like Christ.

Ways to Become Closer to Christ
  • Make a list of a couple of things that will help you better cling to the word of God and feel his light
  • Try to make it a habit to PRAY daily and make your prayers more meaningful
  • Set a goal every morning to do your best not only for yourself but for the savior
  • Find gratitude in Christ throughout your day and act as if he is right next to you
  • Take time to recognize the Savior's grace in every aspect of your life
  • Do one thing better every day to help you remember Christ
  • Find a few moments to "be still"
  • Keep a picture of the temple somewhere close by so you can always see it
  • Pick one way you can seek Christ better
  • Turn outward in love, compassion, and service when life becomes intolerable
I know this list seems pretty intimidating but, I challenge you just to take one or two and write them down and think of them and I promise you will come closer to Christ.
I have taken the goal to recognize the Savior's grace and write things down that I have recognized and its amazing to see all that he does for me when I look out and recognize it. I also now have a picture of the temple as my screen saver to help remind me of my goal.
